Data Retention Policy

This policy describes how long Game Forge AI retains information, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and its 2025 amendments. Game Forge AI is operated by Code Ninjas East Gwillimbury.

Principle

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. For Game Forge AI, this means seconds, not days.

What We Do NOT Store

Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any account information (no accounts exist)
Cookies or tracking identifiers
Persistent user profiles or behavioral data
Analytics or advertising data

Deletion Procedures

IP addresses: Automatically purged from memory after 60 seconds by the rate limiter cleanup routine. All IP data is lost on server restart.
Game prompts: Exist only during the API call to Anthropic. No copies are retained.
Browser localStorage: Users can clear their game history via the "Clear History" function in the app, or by clearing browser data.

Third-Party Retention

Anthropic (Claude API): Per Anthropic's API terms of service, data sent through the API is not used for model training and is subject to Anthropic's data retention policies. We have verified that Anthropic's API data handling is consistent with our COPPA obligations.

Cloudflare: May retain connection metadata at their edge per their privacy policy. We do not enable Cloudflare Analytics or any optional logging features.

Policy Review

This policy is reviewed whenever changes are made to Game Forge AI's data handling practices. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent review.
